We’re looking for a Practice Manager to join our multi-doctor veterinary clinics in North Portland. Our two hospitals are located approximately four miles apart and have established teams and strong working systems in place. Our hospitals were founded with a simple goal: create a stable, humane workplace in order to help prevent burnout in an industry known for this. We care about financial discipline, but we also deeply care about long-term staff development, retention, and maintaining a healthy, positive culture.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proven HR leadership, conflict resolution, and management
- Financially literate and comfortable reviewing P&Ls and working with Excel
- Organized, calm, and steady under pressure
- Able to oversee operations across two nearby locations
- Interested in partnering closely with owners in a founder-led practice

This role includes oversight of HR processes, payroll and vendor management, financial review, and day-to-day operational leadership across both hospitals.
Requirements
- Prior veterinary practice management experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated HR leadership experience (conflict mediation, documentation, performance plans)
- Financial literacy and able to work in Excel
- Experience reviewing budgets and managing operational expenses
- Strong communication and listening skills and emotional intelligence
- Experience overseeing multi-site operations preferred
